Frequently Asked Questions
Many couples have the same questions and concerns regarding wedding videography. Here are some often-asked questions which should help to make your choices more informed.

Will the video be obtrusive or interfere with my wedding?
Advanced Video takes pride in our discreet, helpful, and unobtrusive manner. Our "documentary" style will not interfere with the flow of events. All aspects of your wedding day are precious and should be enjoyed by you, your friends and family.

Will there be bright video lights?
We will never use lights during the ceremony, and will only use lights at the reception if it is absolutely necessary. Lighting is very important in producing a high quality video. We have invested in the best performing low light 3 chip cameras, which are so light sensitive that we have virtually eliminated the need for lights.

How well do you work with the photographer?
We have an excellent relationship with all of the local photographers. In fact, many of our referrals come from them. We recognize that we are both professionals with a job to do, and therefore give the photographer the space they need to do their work. Professional courtesy is always exercised. We know that the bride wants both excellent pictures and video, so we ensure she gets both. We have some links of recommended photographers whose work is outstanding, and whom we've developed and excellent working rapport.

How long will the finished video be?
Our goal is to produce a video that is long enough to cover everything that is important, yet not so long that it becomes a bore to watch. They range from 1 to 2 hours long, depending on the length of the ceremony and the activities at the event. Your video will be an artistic production that you will enjoy watching over and over again.

How long will it take to get my completed video?
Most videos are completed 2 to 3 weeks after the ceremony. However, during the peak wedding season we can not edit the weddings at the same pace that they are being taped. Our backlog therefore grows as the wedding season progresses. The newlyweds in the later part of the season will have a longer wait for their videos. The wait can be as long as 8 to 12 weeks.

What do we need to do to book Advanced Video?
A $100 deposit is required to secure your date. At the completion of the video the balance is due. If you should cancel, the deposit is not refundable. However, if you rebook with us, your deposit will be reapplied to your package.
